Right before 2017 wrapped up I received fabulous news.
It's one of those moments I've been hoping for since I launched!
Stick With It palette is presented in the February/March issue of
The Makeup Artist Magazine.
The article is written by two Emmy Award winning makeup artists, Melissa Street and Cathi Singh. These free-lance makeup artists take organizing their kits to a whole new level. In the article, they show what tools and contraptions they use and Stick With It palettes and cases are mentioned multiple times showcasing the versatility. And, it's not just makeup they are using them for! Below are pictures showing how Stick With It can be a First Aid Kit, Sewing/Wardrobe Touch-up Kit and Nail Kit. Their article is packed with tips and tricks to help other artists be organized, efficient and sanitary. I'm so thrilled it's become a helpful tool to assist these professionals in doing what they love.

Who knew when I created the Stick With It® palette it would morph into a multi-purpose, multi-useful little case! This video demonstrates using the Stick With It® as a portable painters palette.
This use can be very handy for artists that work with acrylic and watercolor paints. Also, it sure is a great way to mix makeup foundation and concealers. Not only is this handy for mixing, but now you can reserve your product by closing the lid- Tah Dah!!

In my testing we did mix a variety of water-based paints and glues directly on the sticky surface without harm. Once the product dries it washed off with warm soapy water or it just peeled right off. On my site you can look here and scroll down to see #2 that lists the products we tested, and some that we don't recommend that can damage the surface.

For a super easy and convenient way to clean up your case you can use palette paper, parchment paper or vellum paper. Simply place the paper on to the Clingfinity® surface, mix away and when ready for clean up, peel the paper off and throw away. On my Store page I do offer a custom-cut packet of vellum paper that fits perfectly into your case.

Enjoy!

The Stick With It Palette is Not Just for Makeup Pans!

I created the Stick With It Palette to help me organize and store my eyeshadows and blush pans without the hassle of magnets. However, people are discovering other uses for the palette! Here are some ideas and our latest video that may spark ideas for you.
Any componentry will stick! Use the palette in the open position as a temporary surface to work from. Set in your individual clamshells of makeup, pop open the lids and go to town using it as an easy, accessible palette.  I had a flight attendant tell me she did not want to empty out her makeup bag on the airplane bathroom countertop, so she sets her items on the palette. Because it clings, she did not have to worry about things falling onto the floor.
Here double-ended makeup brushes and stainless steel implements stay secure (no worries, the brush bristles will not stick to the surface). Use a palette to keep hair clips, bobby pins and plastic combs handy and sanitary.
Need easy access to office supplies? I keep mine in the car. If you are into arts and crafts that require storing beads, crystals or any small parts the palette is ideal for these projects.  Enjoy the video and please share your ideas!

Ah, the red-eye flight and yes, my eyes are red! I left San Diego last night at 10:45pm and now I'm sitting here at 6:15am at the Miami airport. Then one more flight to see my mom for Christmas. If you travel, you need to know about minimus.biz! They are the world leader in all things travel size. Click here for their holiday gift guide, our palettes made the list! Plus, I wanted to share with you three key items that I routinely pack for all my trips.

Picture
These are the Conair Adjusta Curl velcro rollers. Sold as a 4-pack, but I needed 8, so I just cut them in half. They still roll into a big size roller that I love!! Best thing they pack FLAT :) oh yeah!!
Picture
Olay 4-in-1 Daily Facial Cloths. These are great for packing because they activate when you add water, hence one less item in your carry-on liquids bag. Plus, they clean my skin beautifully.

A t-shirt, realllllly? Yes, I do pack more clothes than this. But, I use this as my secret, light-weight, quick dry, hair turban. I left my fancy travel hair towel in a hotel room and happened to have an extra t-shirt on hand. I hate trying to balance a full size towel on my head, hurts my neck. Just pick up the bottom side and slip your head in, twist up and tuck- done!

We recently spoke to professional makeup artist Erin Winter to learn a few of her favorite tips & tricks. Here are three gems:
  1. Start with good quality brushes. The tools you use will only enhance the makeup's ability.
  2. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Yes, even if you have oily skin (use an oil control lotion). You want to give the foundation something to stick to so it soaks a little into the skin and keeps you looking youthful and glowing!
  3. Go bold for a night out! Try a new shade of lipstick or an eyeshadow you normally wouldn't wear, I guarantee you will get compliments!
Thanks for the tips Erin! And if you're interested, visit Erin's website at www.erinwinter.com for a look at her incredible work in fashion magazines!
